Passing through the gates at Emerald Coast Dragway in Holt, Florida a sea of drift cars could be seen all around the track. We were pumped for the 2 day event put on by @KlutchKickers Saturday would be the first competition the new drift track would see, with over 20 cars set to compete for over 5k in cash and prizes. Walking the pit area you could see cars of all different build levels and teams preparing for the days activities. As the day would continue more spectators would arrive to watch the all out battle that pursued for the majority of the day and into the evening. Taylor Hull would take home the big check for 3k followed by Nicholas Rodriguez with a check for $1,500 and getting the $500 check would be Nicholas Castleberry. The competitions were tight and kept the judges on their toes for sure.
Sunday Morning the track opened and a whole new group of cars rolled into the racing facility. There were so many unique rides everywhere and the track stayed busy the majority of the day. If you wanted seat time you had the opportunity to get plenty of it!! The new drift track is a total blast to drive and offers a technical course to sharpen any drivers skills. There is plenty of rooms for pits and the facility has power outlets everywhere for those that need it. The bathrooms were clean and the concession stand food was on point. If you want to get out to a fun event we give this place a solid 5 stars! Plus the beach is less then an hour away and that’s always a good bonus.
If you want to find out more information about upcoming events at this track go follow @klutchkickers and @race_ecd During the weekends events we did talk to some of the guys that run Klutch Kickers about the brand and how they plan to grow the Drift events in the future. All we will say for now is, They have some big plans for 2020 with some pretty substantial payouts in the works. They should have a full 12 event schedule posted very soon!
